Spring Awakening
So I saw Spring Awakening yesterday and it was freaking amazing. I completely understand why it was nominated for 11 and won 8 tonys. And normally, I find something wrong with someone's singing voice (like with the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot Tues night) but I absolutely adored almost all of the singing in that show! Ahh. So good!
Oh yeah, and camp in like... 3 daysish. Can anyone say exciting?!?

Since Aaron "nudged" me...
So right now I'm at my brother's apt in Brooklyn. I've been working at The Brick every night but my days have been pretty lazy. I planned on going to museums everyday etc, but I've ended up watching Arrested Development (because my bro has all 3 seasons on dvd) and reading a bunch. One good thing about that though is my brothers extensive book collection. He took out a bunch of plays/scenes to look @ for camp. I want to have a bunch of scenes picked out so I can just choose from them when I find out how many kids I have in the classes. The Brick has been cool. I've only been doing front of house work but I've been able to see most of the shows so far (I'll already be gone when Jeff's show goes up though which sucks). Other than a couple tech difficulties, the Pretentious Festival has gone well. I went to get some groceries today and saw a middle school getting on their buses. This sounds cheesy but seeing all the kids made me want to be @ camp. I'm glad I'm essentially going straight from here to there. Ok well, now I should start getting ready to head to the Brick.

Freshman Year is Over
Weird! I haven't regularly updated this thing in a whiiile. It's odd to think that I'm now a sophomore in college. School wasn't too amazing at first, but towards the middle of second semester I realized I could actually say I was enjoying myself. It's nice to be home. I'm having a party tomorrow for my home friends, because I'm only in town for two weeks. Then next weekend I have Leighanne's Bat Mitzvah, and then I head to NYC for two weeks to stay with my bro Jeff and work (aka volunteer) front of house for the Pretentious Festival for two weeks (go to bricktheater.com it's awesome). My brother says: "You'll learn a lot" so that's what I'm expecting. Then it's off to camp for me! Performing Arts Coordinator! I've wanted this job for a while. I'm really glad I got it. For whoever reads this still (Anyone? who knows): I'm @ camp June 18th-August 20th I think so write me!!! Katrina Lewonczyk Camp Washington 190 Kenyon Rd Lakeside, CT 06758

I don't even know where to begin...
Camp has been good. It's been stressful but worth it all. Friends and campers are amazing. I've had two AWESOME cabins so far and some sweet memories with people. I've also realized a lot more about and i think changed a lot. I don't know. I keep wanting to stay and never leave but I do miss my friends @ home. So many are going to be gone @ the end of this summer too. Every once and a while I'll be sitting around somewhere @ camp and realize how much I miss people. I made the biiig mistake of listening to the Chamber Choir cd @ some point and I wanted to cry. Not seeing people like Stephanie, Kevin, and Jon everyday really depresses me. I can't even begin to understand how akward I feel when I think about this upcoming school year.
I'm going to be a senior. That is weird. Seriously. I still feel like a little freshman. In a year, I will be going off to college. Eww. I have to stop thinking about this. It's weird and I'm pretty scared.

 | You scored as Albus Dumbledore. Strong and powerful you admirably defend your world and your charges against those who would seek to harm them. However sometimes you can fail to do what you must because you care too much to cause suffering.

Took this from OLivia
12 responses to 12 reasons why gay people shouldn't get married. The bolded is the responses. Mua!
Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control are not natural.
Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people cannot get legally married because the world needs more children.
Obviously gay parents will raise gay children because straight parents only raise straight children.
Straight marriage will be less meaningful, since Britney Spears's 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.
Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and it hasn't changed at all: women are property, Blacks can't marry Whites, and divorce is illegal.
Gay marriage should be decided by the people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of minorities.
Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are always imposed on the entire country. That's why we only have one religion in America.
Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people makes you tall.
Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage license.
Children can never succeed without both male and female role models at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.
Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to cars or longer lifespans.
Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "separate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages will for gays & lesbians.
Beat THAT, ideological bastions of suppression and prejudice who couldn't use logic to escape from a wet paper bag!!!!!!
